Folio is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Folio app and website.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following when you use Folio:

Account information: Your email address and hashed password.
Project data: Your projects and tasks — in encrypted form only. We cannot read your content.
Payment information: Processed by iyzico. We do not store card details.
Subscription status: Whether you have an active subscription or trial.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain the Folio service
To sync your encrypted data across devices
To send important account and subscription notifications
To process payments through iyzico

3. End-to-End Encryption

Your project data is encrypted on your device before being uploaded to our servers. We technically cannot read the content of your projects, tasks, or notes. The encryption key is derived from your user ID and never leaves your device in plaintext.

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure hosted in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany). We use industry-standard security to protect your data at rest and in transit.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties, except:

iyzico: For payment processing only.
Supabase: As our database and authentication provider.
Legal requirements: If required by law or legal process.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data will be permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days.

Access the data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and data
Export your data at any time

8. Cookies

Our website uses minimal cookies only for authentication purposes. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

Folio is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
